Since I was a child I have always asked a lot out of my body. While I was home schooled I would constantly figure out how to convince my mother to let me go outside and ride my bike or play basketball for PE instead of doing my school work. That theme continued as I pursued tennis at the national level from junior high all the way through high school. When I started attending Pepperdine University I played lacrosse for 3 years and was Captain, President and an All-Conference player. I left school still hungry for movement, this is when CrossFit and the pursuit of coaching others took over.
I lived in China for a year after I graduated. While I was there, I began to study fitness endlessly. I flew out to Japan 4 months later and placed 2nd at the 2011 CrossFit Regionals. I have lived and breathed fitness ever since. I have had the amazing privilege of competing at the Crossfit Games 3 times.
I began my coaching in college while I worked at a precombine training facility called The Factory. I worked under amazing coaches including Maurice Greene (former worlds fastest man) and many others.
In 2013 I was lucky enough to work with the show Extreme Weight Loss on ABC. I got to train 36 morbidly obese individuals for 2 seasons. Beyond an amazing experience, I grew a rigorous passion for how to inspire true change in individuals. Our focus is not what you lose in 1 month but what you keep off in a year. The goal is to help individuals make change easier. My life mission is to continue to learn how to inspire individuals to change habits.
When I am outside the gym (which is rare) I am like any Coloradan and enjoy the mountains when it is hot (Mountain biking) or cold (Snowboarding). My family works for Hollywood so I love movies and enjoy the arts in general.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Project Rise community!
